The top story this week is the implosion in Baton Rouge. #3 Texas A&M delivered a decisive 49-25 victory over LSU, scoring 35 points in the second half. This Aggie team, led by Marcel Reed and KC Concepcion, is finally showing the discipline and consistency to make noise in the playoffs. Farbod also gives a STAR to A&M Strength Coach Tommy Moffit for his hilarious pre-game motivation.
The result has officially put LSU Head Coach Brian Kelly on the brink. Farbod dives into the situation, the team's downward trend, and the report that LSU officials and the state governor are discussing his massive $53.29 million buyout… the "Million Dollar Question."
But that wasn't the only coaching drama of the day: Texas Head Coach Steve Sarkisian had to passionately debunk a report linking him to an NFL job just hours before kickoff. Farbod breaks down the "Sark's Exit?" rumor and how his team responded by erasing a massive deficit to beat Mississippi State in overtime, 45-38.

It’s Week 9 and separation season is here. The slate starts with Ole Miss traveling to Oklahoma: Lane Kiffin’s explosive offense meets Brent Venables’ lockdown defense in a matchup that could reshape both teams’ paths to the postseason. Over in Ames, BYU looks to impose its will on the ground, while Iowa State tries to finally cash in inside the red zone after one of the strangest offensive starts in the country.
We also break down Texas A&M’s trip to LSU, a must-win for both sides. Can the Aggies’ defense rebound after getting steamrolled on the ground, or does LSU finally find some consistency behind Brian Kelly before the seat gets too hot?
Then, we dive deep into the growing list of coaches on the brink. From Hugh Freeze and Mike Norvell to Jonathan Smith, Luke Fickell, and Brian Kelly himself, we talk about who’s coaching for their job, who might be safe, and what changes could come next.

Week 8 was absolute carnage… MULTIPLE ranked teams went down, including #2, #5, #7, and #10. Georgia and Ole Miss lit up the scoreboard in Athens, but it was the Dawgs who played a full four quarters, winning 43-35 behind another electric performance from Gunnar Stockton and Zachariah Branch. Ole Miss' early fireworks eventually faded, and their one-dimensional attack left Trinidad Chambliss on an island as Georgia earned another statement win.
We break down what went wrong for Ole Miss, why Georgia finally looks like a complete team, and how Alabama quietly might’ve pulled ahead as the SEC’s true standard. Plus, we recap all our Week 8 picks, check in on Shot in the Bark standings, and laugh through another rough week for the F4D parlay.
Then, it’s time to hit the Clean Up Crew: USC’s playoff hopes die in South Bend, LSU continues to spiral, Louisville picks off Miami’s title dreams, and Vandy (!) might actually be good. We wrap with a full look at the growing coaching hot seat: Hugh Freeze, Mike Norvell, Dabo, and more…

Big changes and bigger games headline this week’s episode. Penn State fires James Franklin, ending a 12-year run that never reached the heights fans hoped for. We break down the $49 million buyout, the duty to mitigate clause, and what comes next for both Franklin and the program.
Then, it’s a full Week 8 preview… highlighted by Ole Miss-Georgia, USC-Notre Dame, and Alabama-Tennessee. Georgia’s playoff path hangs in the balance, USC’s maturity is being tested, and Tennessee looks to make a statement in Tuscaloosa. We cover keys, matchups, and playoff implications across the board.
We wrap things up with Shot in the Bark, a fiery round of Buy or Sell, and our complete Week 8 game picks and parlay.

The Week 7 recap is a first of its kind… Indiana upsets Oregon, Texas dominates Oklahoma, and the playoff picture gets turned upside down. The Hoosiers were flawless defensively, confusing Dante Moore and forcing two late interceptions to seal the win. Aiden Fisher was the best player on the field, and Indiana made a statement that their 2025 run is no fluke.
Texas, meanwhile, made a statement Saturday. Arch Manning’s efficiency and Sarkisian’s second-half adjustments fueled a 20–0 run to close out Oklahoma, giving the Longhorns full control of the rivalry and new life in the playoff race. For OU, the offensive woes were glaring… and costly.
Plus, we hit everything from USC’s win over Michigan to Penn State’s latest loss, the Auburn-Georgia controversy, and Oregon State’s coaching fallout. It was one of the most unpredictable weekends of the year and we’re breaking it all down.
Note: Penn State fired James Franklin 30 minutes after we finished recording this show so we did not react to his firing.

We’ve hit Week 7, and the chaos just keeps coming. Indiana heads to Oregon in what might be the biggest game of the Hoosiers’ modern era, and the Ducks are ready to remind everyone why they’re a National Title contender. We dive into everything that’ll decide this one: Oregon’s front seven vs. Indiana’s quick-pass attack, the Hoosiers’ massive receivers vs. Oregon’s tackling, and why both QBs might need their best game yet to survive Saturday.
Then it’s Red River time. Oklahoma and Texas meet again, and history says it’s anyone’s game. With QB health questions on one side and offensive inconsistency on the other, both teams are relying on defense and big moments to carry them through. We break down the keys, the trends, and what’s at stake for both programs with playoff hopes still very much alive.
Plus, we update our records, drop our Shot in the Bark dogs for Week 7, debate the hottest takes in Buy or Sell, and wrap it all up with our full Week 7 picks and the Flagged Four-Legger parlay. It’s a jam-packed week of college football, and we’re breaking it all down from start to finish.

It’s hard to even know where to start… if anyone ever tells you a week’s slate is stale, don’t listen to them. UCLA, who hadn’t won a single game all season, takes down #7 Penn State in one of the most stunning upsets in modern college football. We break down how it happened, how Franklin’s program reached this low, and whether this could finally force some hard questions in Happy Valley.
Meanwhile, Florida reignites The Swamp with a win over #9 Texas, an upset that flips narratives overnight. Is Arch Manning’s hype officially outpacing his play? And did Billy Napier just save his job or delay the inevitable?
We also look back at our picks, dogs of the week, and dive into a loaded “Buy or Sell,” debating everything from Miami’s title hopes to why the Big 12 might secretly be the most entertaining conference in football.

Week 6 is here, and Alabama is staring down a game they’ve had circled for a full year. After last season’s shocking upset loss to Vanderbilt, the Crimson Tide get their chance at revenge when Diego Pavia and the Commodores head to Tuscaloosa. Vandy’s rushing attack has been lethal with Pavia, Sedrick Alexander, and Makhilan Young all bringing unique styles to the backfield, but can they keep up with Ryan Williams, Germie Bernard, and a Tide team desperate to prove last year was a fluke?
In primetime, it’s a rivalry showdown in Tallahassee as #3 Miami visits #18 Florida State. The Canes come in off a bye, fresh from beating Florida, while FSU looks to bounce back after a rough loss to Virginia. Both teams want to win at the line of scrimmage, but if the run is bottled up, who do you trust more to make the big throw: Carson or Tommy?
Alongside those headliners, we’ve got our Shot in the Bark underdog picks, Week 6 game picks, and the F4D Four-Legger parlay. Plus, a round of Buy or Sell: Will Hugh Freeze survive the season at Auburn? Is Notre Dame already out of the playoff picture? And is the Big Ten destined to win a third straight national championship?

Oregon and Penn State gave us a White Out classic, but it ended like so many Franklin-era big games: in heartbreak. The Ducks escaped 30–24 in double OT thanks to Dante Moore’s composure and a defense that outlasted Drew Allar. We break down why Penn State still can’t get over the hump, how Franklin’s staggering 2–21 record vs Top 6 teams defines the program, and whether Oregon is now the team to beat in the Big Ten.
In Athens, Alabama snapped Georgia’s 33-game home winning streak with a 24–21 victory that felt like a throwback. Ty Simpson was steady, the Tide were physical, and Georgia’s offense never found rhythm. With Kirby Smart now 1–7 in this series, is Alabama back in the driver’s seat for the SEC?
We then shift to Oxford where Ole Miss pulled off a 24–19 win over LSU behind another big performance from QB Trinidad Chambliss and a defense that held strong in the biggest moments. LSU’s lack of a run game continues to cost them, and we wonder if Garrett Nussmeier’s stock is suffering as a result of Brian Kelly’s system.
We close with Virginia stunning Florida State, Illinois upsetting USC, and Tennessee barely hanging on against Mississippi State… plus our game picks recap, Shot in the Bark standings, and the Flagged Four-Legger parlay update.

Sep 25, 2025

1hr 18 min

We start with the headliner in Happy Valley: #6 Oregon at #3 Penn State under the lights in a White Out. Penn State hasn’t beaten a top-10 opponent in the regular season since 2016, and James Franklin’s track record in these games has been rough. But the Nittany Lions brought back Drew Allar, two star backs, and paired them with Jim Knowles on the biggest DC contract ever… Can Allar prove he can win with his arm against Oregon’s length and speed, or will Dante Moore and the Ducks spoil another Penn State “prove it” moment?
From there, we head south for another monster clash: #17 Alabama at #5 Georgia. The Tide and Dawgs both have questions in the trenches, but with Ty Simpson finding chemistry with Ryan Williams and Jam Miller returning, Alabama looks dangerous. Meanwhile, Gunnar Stockton has shown poise leading Georgia back against Tennessee, but can the Dawgs’ offensive line hold up against Alabama’s pressure? It’s a heavyweight SEC showdown with massive playoff stakes.
We also dig into #4 LSU at #13 Ole Miss, where Garrett Nussmeier faces off with rising star QB Trinidad in Oxford. LSU hasn’t been able to run the ball, but Ole Miss’ defense is vulnerable on the ground. Plus, Auburn heads to Texas A&M in a sneaky test, and #1 Ohio State travels to Washington in a game that might say more about the Huskies than the Buckeyes.
Beyond the headliners, we’ve got Shot in the Bark, full Week 5 picks, and of course: The Flagged Four-Legger parlay.
